Greetings on this mystical monday morning!
I say that because it's been one of those weekends, littered with signs and synchronicities. It started on friday when I had a dream that actually came true. Then on Saturday, an idea popped into my head from no-where and has literally sprouted wings. I'm not going to mention too much about it just yet, but what I will say is that it's looking like I might be appearing at a new Mind, Body, Soul event in the next couple of months. It's all very exciting, and it feels like I'm following a natural cycle with this. I should explain that many moons ago, when I was a very young magic ally, I spent a great deal of my time at Mind Body Soul events, running workshops and doing tarot readings. It's been a while, but I feel it's now the right time for me to return to this, and bring something new to the event. I'll keep you posted on developments on this Blog, as I think this event is going to be very special, with a great line up of people giving talks/sessions and readings. For me personally, it will give me the chance to catch up with old friends, and also make some new ones. To chew the fat with like-minded people, and maybe treat myself to some interesting buys (books, jewellry, crystals... you know the sort of thing!).
On another note, I've been reading quite a bit about Cosmic Ordering of late. It's a fascinating subject, and it's very comforting to think that the universe is there to support us, and is waiting for our requests, particularly in this current climate. I think the most important thing to note about Cosmic Ordering is that we might not think it is working for us, when actually it is! It's just working in a different way to the one we expected. The key here is to remove our expectations, and keep an open mind. Be positive, have faith, and stay flexible. Life often delivers answers in unusual and exciting ways.
Have a great and magical monday!

Well we're half way through another week already, and I'm dashing around. I feel like I've got wings at the moment, flitting here, there and everywhere. Talking of wings I've been reading quite a bit about Angels. I find it a fascinating subject. Angels exist in so many different guises and we only have to learn to trust our instincts and listen to that calm inner voice to be able to communicate with them. I believe in guardian angels, and it seems I'm not the only one. Nearly everyone I talk to at the moment has had some sort of otherworldly, or spiritual experience that has left them convinced that they have been touched by an angel's wings. It's all very inspiring.
Personally I reccommend investing in a copy of 'Angels in My Hair' by Lorna Byrne, it's full of angel stories, and it's written in an easygoing accessible style. Even if you don't believe in these spiritual beings this book will leave you feeling energised and uplifted.
Magical Blessings for the rest of the week.

Yes, I'm still here, just! I've been battling for months with writing deadlines and workshops and I'm so sorry not to have posted before now. But I'm going to make a conscious effort to keep this blog up to date with all my witterings. Once a week I'll log in and let you know what's been happening in the world of Magic Ally. I'll also give you a host of magical hints and tips to bring a bit of sunshine into your life. One things for sure, we certainly need it! The weather as I type this is gloomy and cold, and the wind brings an added bite to the air. Having said that, there's something refreshing about this blustery weather. Yes it's chilly, but it's also great for blowing away the cobwebs. So instead of turning up the heating and heading for the duvet, have a go at this five minute wind meditation. Stand with your arms out stretched, and your head up, facing the wind. Imagine it cleaning your aura, blowing away all the dark shadows, and clearing the space in your head for new ideas. Open your mouth and breathe deeply. Say 'I am empowered, invigorated and ready for anything!'
On the subject of being ready for anything, I am about to start work on a book about storytelling for babies. I'm really excited about this. Stories work on so many levels. They trigger powerful images and help us make sense of the world. They're a great way for little ones to explore language, bond with their parents, and learn important life lessons. There are so many ways to make reading exciting, and that's what I intend to do with this book. It can be scary starting a new endeavour like this. As a writer I worry about keeping the momentum up, and often when you start projects they can feel like insurmountable mountains. But I trust the muse, I believe in what I'm writing about, and it's that passion that always carries me through! So onwards and upwards. Until next week....
Bright and magical blessings!

How time flies!
I can't believe it's been a few weeks since I last posted. Time really has flown by. I've been running storytelling workshops this past week, and it's been lots of fun. The power of words, of lifting tales from the page and bringing them alive for an audience, is something I never tire of! It's great to see people stretching their imagination muscle and tapping into their creativity. It really is good for the soul! Stories are a wonderful tool for transformation. The stories we tell ourselves are so important. So the next time you're worried about something and find yourself imagining the worst, turn things around in your favour. See this part of your life as a tale and see it with a happy ending! Re-inforce a positive outcome, it really does work and you'll feel so much better.
On a similiar theme of stories, check out this month's issue of Soul & Spirit. There's a piece all about the power of fairytales and how you can use them as a tool for self development. Also check out my monthly Magic Ally column. It's got a special 're-vamp yourself' theme for Christmas. Speaking of which, I can't believe it's only a month away.... I need to get myself in gear for some Xmas shopping.
Have a great and magical weekend.

Magic Ally Rockin'
Hi folks and here's to another manic monday!
I'm just logging in after a weekend of music and dancing, AOR style.
Yes, I regressed back to my rock chick days and it was great!
There's nothing like live music to lift the soul, in fact music full stop is a wonderful mood enhancer. We all know the benefits of sticking on an uplifting tune, with a strong beat and hitting the dance floor. I make a point of dancing around my kitchen when something good comes on the radio. It doesn't matter what I'm doing, peeling onions, sorting cupboards, or ironing, I can always find time for a song. So the next time you're feeling low and in need of cheering up, dig deep in your record collection, get out the cheesiest track you can find and stick it on. Embrace your inner child and let yourself go to the beat. Remember happy times, and let those feelings permeate your soul! You'll be firing on all cylinders before you know it.
Speaking of which I have another busy week of writing, and running workshops. I'm in danger of losing my voice, so I think I'll turn to a favourite remedy of mine. I steep a handful of fresh sage leaves in boiling water, add in a spoonful of honey and a splash of fresh lemon juice. As I'm drinking I imagine any nasty infections flushed away! It doesn't taste too bad, and it definitely blasts sore throat bugs.
Have a magical week!

Magic Ally Speaking Blog
Hi Folks,
Welcome to Magic Ally Speaking online. This is my small space on the Internet and the place where I'll post bits and bobs, and links to my column in Soul & Spirit. I'll also keep you updated with news on my books and forthcoming events.
I'd love to hear from you, if you read the column, or if you just fancy posting to say hello.
I enjoy delving into the esoteric and I'm currently working on a piece on the magic of the Celts, and also my December Magic Ally column which will be all about re-inventing yourself for the party season! Check it out in the next issue which will be on sale from the 21st of November.
I like looking into myths and legends and in particular hearing about your experiences with the spirit world. So if you have a fascinating story you'd like to share then drop me a line.
In the meantime the wind is howling, and this blustery weather is perfect for blowing away the cobwebs, so why not don your winter knits and go for a walk. Imagine the air cleansing your system and blasting away any obstacles in your path.
Magical Monday Morning Wishes,
Magic Ally
