Magic Ally Rockin'

Hi folks and here's to another manic monday!

I'm just logging in after a weekend of music and dancing, AOR style.

Yes, I regressed back to my rock chick days and it was great!

There's nothing like live music to lift the soul, in fact music full stop is a wonderful mood enhancer. We all know the benefits of sticking on an uplifting tune, with a strong beat and hitting the dance floor. I make a point of dancing around my kitchen when something good comes on the radio. It doesn't matter what I'm doing, peeling onions, sorting cupboards, or ironing, I can always find time for a song. So the next time you're feeling low and in need of cheering up, dig deep in your record collection, get out the cheesiest track you can find and stick it on. Embrace your inner child and let yourself go to the beat. Remember happy times, and let those feelings permeate your soul! You'll be firing on all cylinders before you know it.

Speaking of which I have another busy week of writing, and running workshops. I'm in danger of losing my voice, so I think I'll turn to a favourite remedy of mine. I steep a handful of fresh sage leaves in boiling water, add in a spoonful of honey and a splash of fresh lemon juice. As I'm drinking I imagine any nasty infections flushed away! It doesn't taste too bad, and it definitely blasts sore throat bugs.

Have a magical week!

Magic Ally
